Our base is located on 1,000 hectares of primary and secondary rainforest in the eastern Amazonian part of Ecuador, found on the Napo River between the jungle cities of Tena and Coca. The expedition site is on the north side of the river, reached via a combination of bus and motorised canoe, a 2-day journey from Quito. Our project partners, Yachana, an internationally-recognised and award-winning ecotourism lodge and high school are located on the south side of the river.
