Volunteer holidays are a special way to give back while getting the most out of your travels.  See and experience parts of our world not seen by the regular tourist while contributing to projects that make a real difference. Have a great holiday combined with rewarding volunteer work, explore the world of volunteer holidays!

Volunteer in Africa

Volunteer in Africa with GVI and work on vital conservation and community development projects all over this incredible continent. Options to volunteer in Africa range from teaching children to tracking big game in the bush or conserving pristine underwater environments while learning to scuba dive. Learn about diverse cultures, take in incredible landscapes and meet friendly people when you volunteer in Africa. Both short and long term volunteer projects are available, as well as internship opportunities to further develop professionally through formal training and hands-on work experience. Visit our volunteering in Africa country page to see all the amazing projects we run in Africa.

Gap Year Volunteering

For a gap year with a difference, GVI has been running gap year volunteer abroad projects for over 10 years sending 1000’s of gap year students away on worthwhile volunteer projects. We have gap year options from 1 week to 1 year including expeditions in exotic and remote locations, as well as internship options for those looking to get a little bit more out of their gap year. Gap year volunteers can find projects throughout Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe in 25 countries. Check out our gap year page to begin your search for that perfect gap year programme!

Volunteer Work Abroad

GVI's volunteer work abroad programs make a difference in the lives of others through our focus on long term, sustainable solutions. Our volunteer work abroad also helps our participants develop new professional skills through our hands on training. Join one of our many volunteer work abroad projects and have the experience of a lifetime, while making a real difference.

Volunteer Overseas

Volunteer overseas with GVI and play a crucial role in international conservation and education projects. You can volunteer overseas from 1 week to 2 years in more than 25 countries in Africa, Latin America, Asia and Europe. So volunteer overseas with Global Vision International (GVI) and play a vital role in pioneering volunteering abroad programs worldwide.

Volunteering Overseas

Volunteering overseas is a fantastic way for travellers to be able to give a little back to communities and environments in need, in a way not possible when just traveling through a country as a regular tourist. Our volunteering overseas programmes have been running for the last 14 years that have enabled a long term and sustainable infrastructure to be put in place, something that many other programme operators do not do. By volunteering overseas, you are able to completely immerse yourself and learn about a new country and culture, and experiencing a completely different adventure. Continue reading to find out why thousands of people have decided volunteering overseas is the best way to travel...
